Sara Brandspigel, MPH

Sara Brandspigel, MPH, manages the Maternal Mental Health Collaborative and Framework and the IMPACT BH program. She has been working since 2002 to bridge research and practice in public health and non-profit organizations, with a focus on maternal and child health populations and the primary prevention of injuries and violence. She has expertise in suicide and child maltreatment prevention, firearm injury prevention, public health outreach and training efforts, and facilitating the dissemination of research findings into practice. Prior to this role, she has worked at the University of Colorado, the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, and the Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs. She currently serves on the board of the Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research. She received her MPH from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health and a BA from Wesleyan University. Originally from rural North Carolina, she has lived in Colorado since 2011.
