Nicole Harlaar, PhD

Nicole Harlaar is a Principal Research Associate at Westat and holds a PhD from King’s College London, UK. Her work focuses on community-engaged approaches to implement and evaluate evidence-based programs and policies to improve maternal and infant health. With over 20 years’ experience in research and evaluation, she is committed to helping federal, state, and local organizations use data effectively for decision-making and systems change. Nicole served on the Leadership team for the Colorado Maternal Mental Health Collaborative from 2021-2022 and joined the CPCQC Board of Directors in 2024. She is honored to support the Collaborative’s mission of ensuring all birthing individuals and their families in Colorado receive equitable, culturally responsive, safe, high-quality care.
