Programs Serving Colorado Hospitals

the Improving Perinatal Health Outcomes Act

About SB24-175

The Improving Perinatal Health Outcomes Act (SB24-175) is a 2024 Colorado law aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality and morbidity, and addressing inequities in perinatal care and outcomes across the state.

Hospital participation in state-designated Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (PQCs) is a proven strategy to improve maternal-infant outcomes and advance health equity, recognized nationally by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Data Submission, Review, and Tracking

Data Submission
Designated hospital champions submit QI data in REDCap, a HIPAA-compliant data collection tool. Learn how to enter your data in REDCap at the link below.
Data Review

Gain insights into your hospital’s QI performance by viewing your data in secure dashboards. Dashboards are hosted on different platforms depending on your program—either Tableau (via CPCQC) or Power BI (via CHA). Learn how to access the dashboard for your specific program at the link below.

Hospital Engagement Tracker
Track your team’s progress toward completing required annual QI tasks by visiting the Hospital Engagement Tracker. This tracker provides a clear view of your hospital’s progress on engagement tasks and helps support SB24-175 compliance.

Quality Alignment

Wondering how CPCQC programs relate to other quality programs your hospital already participates in—such as CMS, Joint Commission, or Colorado-specific initiatives? More information coming soon about how CPCQC complements existing requirements. In the meantime, email qi@cpcqc.org.
