Sonia Subudhi Warwick, MD, MPH
Sonia Subudhi Warwick helps guide CPCQC’s infant-focused work. As the Infant Initiative Manager and Quality Improvement Lead, she oversees NEST (Newborn Evidence-Based Sleep Teaching), a statewide hospital-based program launching in 2026 that works to make safe sleep education and support a routine part of early hospital care. Sonia is passionate about supporting families in the earliest days and strengthening the systems that shape their experiences, guided by her belief that every child deserves the chance at a healthy life from the very start.
Before joining CPCQC, Sonia’s work has included leading a citywide perinatal nutrition initiative with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, caring for children and families in both emergency and primary care settings as a pediatrician, and contributing to research published in Pediatrics and the Maternal and Child Health Journal that explores how cultural context and technology influence decisions around infant care in the postpartum period. Together, these experiences have shaped how she works to improve the support families receive during the earliest stages of life.
Sonia studied Community Health as an undergraduate at Brown University and earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland as part of the UCSF PLUS program, which focuses on health equity and community engagement. She went on to earn a Master of Public Health from UC Berkeley, where her thesis explored how breastfeeding apps can better support postpartum families through thoughtful, evidence-based design.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, practicing yoga, and spending time in the pottery studio.
